Quality Control

Every order is checked against the specification that was agreed in writing — not against a general impression of quality. Here is the sequence we follow between order confirmation and shipment.

The sequence

Seven checkpoints

Specification confirmation — size band, shape, color, luster target, surface tolerance, matching requirement, quantity and packaging are written down and confirmed before work begins.
Pearl quality inspection — pearls are checked against the agreed quality standard, using the approved sample as the reference where one exists.
Size, shape and color check — measured and reviewed by band, with matching assessed across the strand, pair or lot rather than pearl by pearl alone.
Jewelry craftsmanship check — for finished jewelry: setting, stringing, clasp, plating and finish are checked against the approved sample and the order specification.
Quantity verification — piece, strand, pair or gram count verified before packing.
Pre-shipment inspection — the packed order is reviewed once more before dispatch, with the approved standard to hand.
Photos and videos where applicable — the actual goods can be documented before shipment, so what leaves is on record.

No unverifiable certification claims. We do not claim third-party certification, laboratory certification or factory audit status unless it genuinely exists and can be provided for the specific goods. If certification is required for your market, raise it before the quotation so it can be answered honestly.

Why pre-shipment documentation matters

Most pearl disputes are not about bad pearls — they are about a difference of expectation. A photograph set taken before dispatch, next to the written specification, gives both sides the same reference point and makes a conversation about any discrepancy factual rather than subjective.

If your market requires it, we can also agree a specific documentation routine at order confirmation: which shots, which angles, against which reference standard.

Where the checking happens

Quality control starts at the table, not at the packing bench

By the time an order reaches the seven checkpoints above, the decisions that actually determine its quality have already been made — which grade was bought, and how well it was matched. That work happens on the sourcing floor.
