Why we focus on freshwater pearls
Freshwater pearls are the most forgiving pearl category to produce and the least forgiving to buy well. Volume is not the problem — consistency is. A buyer who needs 500 matched strands, or 2,000 identical earring pairs, is buying a matching capability, not a commodity.
That is a specific kind of work: pearl selection, grading judgement, pairing, and quality control against a written standard. It rewards focus. It does not reward being a general sourcing service that will quote anything.
So we stay in one category. Freshwater pearls, pearl strands, loose pearls and pearl jewelry — including custom pearl jewelry production coordinated with our production partners in China.

Lass Pearl works in pearls and pearl jewellery only, sourced from Zhuji. Mike reads and answers every enquiry himself, and what you are told comes from the stock in hand, not from catalogue copy.

Grading and matching are done before you are quoted — strands compared side by side, lustre and surface assessed, and pearls matched across the whole run.

Select
Pearls are selected against the size band, shape, color and luster you specify — not against whatever is convenient. Selection starts from your specification, which is why we ask for it before quoting.
Match
Strands, pairs and lots are matched for consistency across the whole order. Matching is the part of pearl work that decides whether a delivered order looks like one order or several.
Prepare
Jewelry production, finish and packing proceed against the approved standard, then the order is checked before it ships. See Quality Control.
How our supply side is structured
Pearl selection and jewellery production in China are separate specialisms. We work with established freshwater pearl supply and production partners in Zhuji, Zhejiang — the centre of China's freshwater pearl industry — and we coordinate that work on your behalf.
Lass Pearl is a freshwater pearl specialist. We select, grade, match and check the goods ourselves; jewellery production is carried out by partner workshops in the same region. On any order you are told which is which, so nothing rests on an assumption.
If you need to verify a specific capability — capacity, metalwork, plating, packaging, certification — ask directly. It is a fair question, and it gets a direct answer.

What we show, and why
We would rather show the work than the scale. Selection, pearl detail, quality checking, production and sample approval are what tell a buyer whether a supplier is careful.
